For the Joy Set Before Him

The blog has been silent lately, but not without good reason. My church asked me to speak again, and since I have little experience in public speaking, I tend to be "inefficient" in my preparation. At least they tell me a couple of months in advance. I use every spare minute to prepare, and still am not fully satisfied with the result. :) I put over 40 hours of work into this message. Every time I thought about posting to the blog, the overwhelming task at hand reminded me that I must not slack in my vigilance.
Well, it's over, and I'm making the message available here as a compressed .mp3 file. The message is titled, "For the Joy Set Before Him" and is based on the last part of the book of Mark: Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension. You can download the .mp3 to a file by right-clicking the link and selecting "Save Link As..." (in Firefox) and something similar in Internet Explorer (sorry, I don't have IE available at the moment and can't remember the wording of the menu item).
If you take the time to listen to this 1 hour long message (12 MB download), leave a comment and let me know what you think!
